In The News: Washington Co Historical Society’s Capital Campaign Breaks Bricks

The Washington County Historical Society held a brick breaking and kick off for their capital campaign for the new Washington County Heritage Center, 1862 South Greeley St., Stillwater on Thursday Nov. 19 at 1 p.m.
The new Heritage Center will include three large exhibition galleries, a larger storage area, a classroom, a research center and a retail center. In addition to the exhibits on the history and impact of the lumber industry in Washington County designed by Split Rock Studios, the Heritage Center will host exhibits on photographer John Runk, fashions from the 1860s 1960s, Native American history and culture, and the history of Black Baseball in Washington County.
